Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we don’t. If a kind of data isn’t named on this page, we don’t collect it.
What we collect
- Signing in with Google or Telegram: your name and, for Google, your email - enough to identify your rider profile, nothing more.
- Submitting a booking or partner request: a name and one contact - phone, Telegram, or email, whichever you choose. Never a passport, an ID scan, or a document number.
- Your rider profile: anything you choose to add yourself - country, a short bio, trips you log - is written by you and shown on your profile because you put it there.
Analytics
- We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages get visited and how fast the site loads. Both run first-party, from our own domain - not a third-party host.
- Neither sets a cookie. A visit is identified by a hash generated from the request, discarded automatically after 24 hours - nothing is stored that identifies you personally, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don’t use Google Analytics, ad pixels, or anything that tracks you across other sites.
Cookies
- If you sign in, the site sets one cookie - eastride_session. It keeps you signed in for 7 days so you don’t have to log in again on every visit, and it holds a signed reference to your rider profile, nothing else. Signing out deletes it immediately.
- While you are signing in - through Google or Telegram - two more cookies appear: eastride_oauth and eastride_login_nonce. They confirm the login came from this site and not from somewhere else, live 5 minutes, and are deleted the moment sign-in completes.
- That’s the whole list - three cookies, all of them strictly functional: they exist to keep you signed in, not to follow you around. That’s why there is no consent banner. If you never sign in, the site sets no cookies at all.
- One more thing is stored in your browser, and it is not a cookie: if you arrived from a link with campaign tags or from another site, we keep that origin in session storage for the length of the visit. It travels to us only if you send a request, attached to that request, so we can tell which channel brought you. It is deleted when you close the tab, it never links two visits together, and it is never shared with advertisers.
Who sees your data
- Your request reaches us first: the name, contact and dates arrive in our Telegram, and we pass the request on to the partner you chose. The partner sees only the request at that point - your contact reaches them separately, and only once they confirm.
- That’s the entire route. We don’t sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it, and deleting your data
- Profile and request data is kept while it’s useful to the service - a request stays on record so a dispute about it can be looked into later.
- There’s no self-service delete button yet. Write to help@eastride.cc and we’ll remove your account and its data by hand - say so plainly, we won’t ask why.
