The ADV takes the maxi-scooter formula and raises the suspension, adds a screen and a longer travel front end. On the broken side roads around Son Tra and the approach to Ba Na it feels genuinely more capable than an NMAX. It is also the best of this class two-up with luggage - 28 litres under the seat swallows a full-face helmet and a day bag. The catch is the seat height and the price.
