If you asked ten long-term expats in Da Nang what to rent, most would say NMAX. Big enough wheels to shrug off potholes, enough torque to carry two people over a hill, ABS as standard, and a seat you can sit on for three hours. It is heavier than a small scooter, which you feel when parking, and it costs more. But it is the bike that stops being a compromise the moment you leave the city limits.

Landed at 23:40 and Duc was waiting at arrivals with the bike and two helmets. Free airport delivery at that hour is the only reason I picked this one, and it worked exactly as described.
Rented a scooter rather than an enduro because I just wanted the coffee farms and the lake. Got honest advice instead of an upsell — he told me straight that I did not need a dirt bike for that.
Rented an NMAX for a week around Da Lat — waterfalls, coffee farms, the lake loop. Cooler than the coast, bring a jacket. Deposit back in full, no questions.
Bike fine, deposit returned instantly. Getting a reply before 10am was impossible — they open late and there is no point messaging early.
First time on a scooter ever. They took me to an empty lot and let me practise for twenty minutes before handing over the keys properly. That is not standard here and it mattered.
It worked, but the bike was tired — brakes needed a firm pull and the horn was dead, which genuinely matters in Da Nang traffic. Price reflects it, so it is not a scam, just know what you are getting.
Three months on an NMAX from Minh. Zero deposit — I did not have to leave my passport anywhere, which was the main reason I picked this one. Bike never let me down, one service during the period, arranged in ten minutes over WhatsApp.
Honest review: the bike had a scratch on the fairing that was not in the handover photos, and it cost me an argument at return. They dropped the claim after I showed my own photos. Take pictures from every side before you ride off — that is the real lesson.
The bike and the deposit were flawless. Communication was slow during the day — he is out on tours and answers in the evening. Fine once you know it, annoying if you expect instant replies.
Good value. Tuan replies slowly — took him about an hour each time — but everything he promised happened, and the 4 million deposit came back the same day. Bike had 34k km and felt it on rough roads, but nothing broke.
