The honest tradeoff

Walking into a rental on the street is usually a little cheaper - you can haggle, and you can touch the bike before you agree to anything. We will not pretend otherwise. What booking through us buys you is different: the price, deposit and paperwork are stated before you show up, not negotiated on the spot in a language you may not speak. If a rental never replies, that is visible to us and to you, instead of being a wasted afternoon you only find out about by standing outside a locked door.

What we actually do

We publish what a rental itself has told us - price, deposit, what documents they ask for, what happens to your passport. We pass your request to them directly, in a form they can act on, and we keep a record of when they replied and what they said. That is the whole mechanism. There is no markup: you pay the rental directly, exactly what they quote, with nothing added by us.

What we deliberately do not do

We are not the organizer of your trip, and we do not touch your money - it goes straight to the rental, not through us. We do not call a partner "licensed" or "official"; we are not auditors and cannot verify that. What we do check is on the trust page, and it is narrower than those words: whether the listing matches what we saw, not whether the business is legally compliant. We ask for a name and one contact, nothing more - no passport scans, no document numbers.

When walking in is simply better

If you already know which rental you want, are comfortable negotiating in person, and do not mind reading rental terms as they come - walking in loses nothing and can save a little money. Booking through us earns its keep specifically when you are choosing between rentals you have not seen, in a city you do not know yet, and want the terms in a language you actually read before you commit to anything.

What that looks like in practice

Price, deposit and required documents on the card itself, before any message is sent. That is the entire claim of this page, in listings rather than words.
